Cable 7 Huntsville (SHSU)
I have been working with Cable 7 Huntsville since the 2015 Fall Semester as a reporter, producer, production crew, and a director of some of the weekly newscasts. Some of my work below are the newscasts that I directed along with some of the stories that were included in other newscasts. What is Bearkats All Paws In?
4/10/16: Bearkats All Paws In is an event held on one Saturday out of the year where students are encouraged to take time to help their surrounding community, ranging from parks to fire and police stations. Students that participated were either in organizations, Greek Life, or just participating to lend a helping hand.
New Signs in Huntsville
6/12/16: The City of Huntsville had approved the placement of multiple signs around town, with locations along Sam Houston Ave. I-45, and Hwy 19. These signs help direct those coming into town to some of the hot spots around town, such as Sam Houston State University and some of the museums.
Town Creek Drainage Project
6/12/16: The City of Huntsville is working with Sam Houston State University by using the Intramural fields across from the Johnson Coliseum for the Town Creek Drainage Project. The purpose of this project is to prevent flooding around the city with this being served as a vantage point for water to recede.
Rec Center Flood: One Year Later
6/19/16: It has been over a year since the Recreation Center at Sam Houston State University experienced one of the scariest moments in school history. With faculty and students in the building at the time of the flood, the damage is still being felt and being dealt with for the school administration.
SHSU receives 2016 Commissioner's Cup
6/19/16: The SHSU Athletic Departments was honored as the recipient of the 2016 Commissioner's Cup for Men's Sports, a title that the department knows too well. The award recognizes schools in the Southland Conference with Outstanding success in the 2015-2016 year.
